6/16/11 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Thursday

by Katie (Jenny Craig 2009 Poster Girl) 16. June 2011 19:21

I occasionally like to describe to you the various foods I eat on Jenny Craig in case you are thinking about joining.  Again, I don't get paid by Jenny Craig to endorse their program.  I try to be pretty honest about both the good and the bad.  The fact is, I love the program.

For the past few weeks my consultant has been raving about a lunch that was "coming" back.  Jenny Craig likes to put new foods out for a few months, see how the public responded to them, and then months or even a year later they "bring it back" for good.  Pasta Ole appears to be a favorite by many of the consultants at the Centre - I have not yet had it.  It must've appeared when I was pregnant.  I tried it yesterday for the first time and I LOVE it!  It's like Chipotle for the dieter.  It has orzo pasta in a light tomato sauce with black beans, bell peppers, corn, and light mozzarella.  It was absolutely delicious.  It's 240 calories and 6 grams of fat.

My consultant has been warning people that this time around it's a little different because it's too cheesy in her opinion...ummmm, I'm CRAZY for cheese so this just encouraged me to try it even more!  That's only one positive aspect of JC; I just love, love, love the food!
