I was talking to one of the JC consultants who just had a baby 3 months ago. She opted to try the new arm band that I mentioned in previous blogs that monitors how you are burning calories. What I found interesting was that she burned a ton of calories when she just picked her baby up and held him. Now that really doesn't change much because I would say I already pick my son up a lot for a few reasons: I constantly want to be the one snuggling him and because I'm a control freak and would rather be the one to take care of him when he's upset. My husband definitely is hands-on too but the AR in me sometimes gets the best of me. I just have an additional pleasure knowing that I'm burning calories holding my son; whom I absolutely adore - no challenge picking him up a lot that's for sure!
Tomorrow I get weighed in and I'm really hoping I lose because I stuck to the strict 1200 caloric diet that they pick which wasn't nearly as much fun as picking my own foods that I love (ie. Triple Chocolate Cheesecake). Today is my worst day for the diet - I don't get a fruit with breakfast because the cranberries in the cereal count as my fruit, and I have to eat a Tuna Kit (I like tuna but the tuna from JC I just don't like) which I think is disgusting and it doesn't quite seem to fill me up. Oh well, I've tried hard and that's what matters. Everything else is out of my control.
