Happy Thanksgiving

Surviving the Holidays without Becoming a Turkey! Part 3:

1.       Don’t give in to pressure to eat or drink anything you don’t want!

2.       Get enough sleep.  As you remember from a recent blog, not getting enough sleep is damaging in a lot of different ways.  Protect your mental and physical health by getting your zzzsss.

3.       Don’t drink egg nog.  It is just wrong on so many levels.  Really, don’t do it.

4.       Put some workout equipment like bands, workout gloves, trainer-sessions or a used a spin bike on your Holiday gift list.  Never know, maybe Santa thought you were good this year…

5.       Try and make as many of your meals yourself during the holiday season.  Then, you have more control over the ingredients, especially the salt, fat and sugar.  It will be way cheaper and you’ll have more energy.  Try having a bowl of low-salt broth soup before you meet friends for a holiday drink.  It will take the edge off your hunger and keep you from ordering those wings with blue cheese.

6.       Say something nice to yourself in the mirror every morning.  You deserve the praise!!!!

Well that’s our holiday survival list.  Way to go.  ENJOY! Relax!  I extend my thanks to all of you for reading my blog and writing in.  You and my family and friends make my life brighter.

Paula
