Fighting Cardiovascular Disease for Women- Part 2

Yesterday we discussed the general health challenges that can be risk factors for cardiovascular disease.  Today I want to talk about the questions that you should ask your doctor during an appointment according to Dr. Alan Rozanski, M.D. (cardiologist):

1.       What your energy level like?  A lack of energy can be an indicator of depression.

2.       Do you have trouble sleeping?  Both too much sleep, and a lack of sleep, can be a sign of depression.

3.       Do you feel anxious, stressed, depressed or irritable?

4.       Do you have unusual pressures at work or at home?

5.       What outlets for stress do you utilize?

6.       Who do you turn to for support?

7.       Do you have any other stress issues that you feel are important to discuss with your doctor?
